Using Video for Your Holiday Greetings

December 3, 2014

Well, it's that time of year again, chestnut roasting, tree trimming and holiday greeting season. Working with ARAG on their holiday card is always a fun and creative time for us.

Communicating the unique aspects of the company while keeping the connection of their clients and employees is the central focus for the holiday card messaging. The goal of this communication was really to be an appreciation message to their clients and partners throughout the year, rather than a sales or marketing message.

"I've had the pleasure of working with Applied Art & Technology to create ARAG's holiday video over the past two years. Their resourcefulness and creativity are spot on. Our Producer, Heather, kept us in the loop every step of the way in the process while managing the project to meet budget and deadline requirements."

Sarah Smerage, Corporate Communications Consultant

The process began with a rough script that went two directions both company centric and client centric. How to get these two parts to coincide was the goal of the Applied Art creative team. After initial client meetings, internal creative meetings and pitching two concepts to the client, the solution of filming parallel stories was landed on. Our story focused on a day in the life of an ARAG employee and a day in the life of a young girl, with a chance intersection of our two characters at the end of the spot.

By approaching the video in this way, we were able to show compassion for others, challenges faced and protecting all that matters which ARAG embodies.
